Bandi Sanjay to pay SSC examination fees for 10,959 Govt school students

Karimnagar, Nov 4 (UNI) union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar has decided to bear the SSC examination fees of all 10,959 Class X students studying in government schools across the Karimnagar parliamentary constituency for the current academic year.
The decision follows a representation submitted by Telangana Government Teachers' Association (TAPAS) Karimnagar district president Annapuneni Tirupati Rao and general secretary Jarathi Narsaiah, who met the union minister five days ago and requested him to extend the support provided last year.
Responding positively, Bandi Sanjay assured them that he would personally pay the examination fees and has communicated his decision to the District Educational Officers (DEOs) concerned.
He is expected to collect the fee details from the officials and remit the entire amount through cheques within the next two to three days.
Of the total beneficiaries, 3,920 students are from Rajanna Sircilla district, 4,356 from Karimnagar, 1,087 from Jagtial, 1,133 from Siddipet and 463 from Hanamkonda district.
The teachers' representatives appreciated the Minister's initiatives to strengthen government schools through infrastructure development, including additional classrooms and toilets with CSR support, and the free distribution of branded bicycles to Class X students.
They pointed out that most students come from economically weaker families and face difficulties in paying examination fees
