Becoming 4th largest economy in world big achievement for India: Haryana minister

Chandigarh, May 25 (UNI) India has become the fourth largest economy in the world, whichis a big achievement, observed Union Minister for Energy, Housing and Urban Development, Manohar Lal Khattar, on Sunday.
Talking to media in Karnal after listening to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Mann Ki Baat' programme with his colleagues, he said that the country is constantly moving forward under the leadership of the Prime Minister.
"Today, India has become the fourth largest economy in the world and has left Japan behind, andby the year 2027, it can become the third largest economy of the world and by 2047, it can alsoreach the second or first position," he expressed.He said on completion of 100 years of independence of the country in 2047, not only India should become a developed country, but every province should also develop.
With this objective, development work is being done by the central and state governments to reach every village and give the benefit of every scheme to the public, he added.
Khattar noted that 'Mann Ki Baat' programme is not only a medium to understand the priorities of the government but is also a strong platform for public participation.
On this occasion, Speaker of Haryana Assembly and Gharaunda MLA Harvinder Kalyan, MLAsRam Kumar Kashyap, Bhagwan Das Kabirpanthi, Yogender Rana and Mayor Renu Bala Gupta and other officials were present.
