Bihar: Rs 461 crore released for grant-in-aid school staff

Patna, Sep 19 (UNI) The Bihar government has released Rs 461 crore as grant-in-aid for payment of salaries to teachers and non-teaching employees of grant-in-aid schools and colleges, Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary said on Saturday.
In a post on X, Choudhary said the government was working for the welfare of teachers, employees and educational institutions and taking measures to strengthen the education system and promote higher education in the state.
The Chief Minister said the release of the funds for salary payments was an important step towards providing necessary financial support to educational institutions and ensuring the interests of teachers and non-teaching staff. “Quality education is the foundation of a bright future,” he said, stressing the importance of strengthening educational institutions and supporting those working in the sector.
According to the government, funds have been regularly sanctioned and released for the payment of teachers and non-teaching employees of various grant-in-aid educational institutions. Financial assistance is being provided for salaries and other approved expenditure.
The release of Rs 461 crore is expected to facilitate salary payments to employees working in the concerned institutions and provide financial relief to them.
The government has reiterated that supporting teachers and educational staff is an important part of its efforts to improve the overall education system and expand access to quality higher education in Bihar.
