BJP MLA from Agra passes away

Agra, Sep 24 (UNI) Ruling BJP MLA Chhotelal Verma from Fatehabad constituency in Agra, passed away at a private hospital in Noida on Thursday night. The 73-year-old Chhotelal Verma had been suffering from a fever for several days.
Two days earlier, on September 22, he was admitted to Upadhyay Hospital in Agra, after his health deteriorated, he was shifted to Noida.
A family member said MLA Chhotelal Verma had a high fever. When his condition worsened, he was referred to Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi today.
He was being taken to Ganga Ram Hospital by ambulance, but his condition worsened on the way. He was admitted to Yatharth Hospital in Noida, where he died at 8:30 PM.
The MLA's son, Mahendra Verma, said that he was given CPR in Noida, but doctors were unsuccessful.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Agra MP Rajkumar Chahar have expressed their condolences on the sudden demise of Chhote Lal Verma.
Chhote Lal Verma belonged to the Mallah (Nishad) community and had a strong influence among the backward and weaker sections of society in his constituency.
