BRS leaders must disclose details of lands, cooperate with officials: Dayakar

Hyderabad, Sep 20 (UNI) TPCC General Secretary and senior spokesperson Chanagani Dayakar on Sunday alleged that the previous BRS government was involved in large-scale land-related irregularities and demanded that former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao's family disclose details of their properties.
Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan, Dayakar alleged that KCR had violated the Land Ceiling Act and claimed that KTR, Harish Rao, Santosh Rao and Kavitha had acquired lands illegally.
Referring to Kaloji Narayana Rao's observations on the nature of exploitation after Independence, he questioned whether Telangana was achieved merely for the benefit of farmhouses and private properties.
Dayakar alleged that KTR had ensured government development projects were taken up near lands acquired by him, thereby increasing their value.
He also questioned why a case was filed when a drone was flown over the Janwada farmhouse if the property was merely held on lease.
He alleged that the BRS was creating controversy over Section 22A and claimed that the prohibited list included government lands as well as disputed land holdings.
He said the Congress government was committed to protecting government lands and urged KTR and Harish Rao to cooperate with revenue officials and provide details of the lands referred to by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy in the Assembly.
Dayakar appealed to people to support the government's efforts to protect government lands from alleged encroachments.
