New Delhi, Nov 2 (UNI) Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) witnessed a sharp rally on Dalal Street on Monday, with its shares jumping nearly 12 per cent to post their biggest single-day gain in more than six years. The stock's strong performance came after the Mukesh Ambani-led conglomerate reported record earnings for the July-September quarter of FY27, prompting bullish commentary from brokerages.
The shares climbed 11.6 pc to close at their day's high of Rs 1,300 on the NSE, pushing the company's market capitalisation beyond Rs 17.5 lakh crore to approximately Rs 17.59 lakh crore. The rally added nearly Rs 2 lakh crore to Reliance's market value in a single trading session. The stock was also the top gainer on the Nifty 50 and emerged as the biggest contributor to the benchmark index's gains. It was the most actively traded stock on both the NSE and BSE.
The latest rally marked Reliance's strongest single-session performance since April 2020, reflecting investor optimism over its financial performance and growth prospects across key business verticals.
Reliance Industries posted its highest-ever quarterly revenue, EBITDA and net profit for the September quarter, supported by strong contributions from its oil-to-chemicals (O2C), digital services and retail businesses.
Consolidated revenue rose 28 pc year-on-year to a record Rs 3.62 lakh crore during the quarter. EBITDA increased 24pc to Rs 62,409 crore, while consolidated net profit surged 34pc to Rs 29,550 crore, marking an all-time quarterly high.
The company's digital business also reported healthy growth during the period. Jio Platforms recorded an 11.3pc year-on-year increase in revenue to Rs 47,485 crore, while EBITDA climbed 16.6 pc to Rs 21,879 crore. Performance was supported by continued subscriber additions, improved average revenue per user (ARPU) and growth in digital services.
The strong earnings performance, coupled with positive brokerage commentary, strengthened investor sentiment towards the stock, driving a sharp increase in Reliance Industries' market valuation.
