Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy slams KTR’s remarks on Telangana Global Summit

Hyderabad, Oct 29 (UNI) Bhongir MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy on Thursday criticised BRS working president K T Rama Rao (KTR) over his remarks on the Telangana Global Summit, asserting that the event organised by the Congress government was a “Global Summit” and not a “Goebbels Summit”.
In a video statement, Kiran Kumar Reddy alleged that KTR wanted the Congress government to fail and had even wished for drought conditions in the State. He said the Congress government was organising the summit under the leadership of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to attract investments and create employment opportunities for Telangana’s youth.
Pointing to global challenges such as the El Niño phenomenon and job losses linked to the growing adoption of artificial intelligence, the MP stressed the need to focus on skill development and generate new employment opportunities.
He alleged that the BRS government had failed to organise a Global Summit during its nine-and-a-half-year tenure and questioned KTR’s claims of securing investments worth ₹9 lakh crore. He further accused the previous government of burdening the State with ₹8 lakh crore in debt and said high-interest borrowings had increased the financial burden.
The MP also alleged that the BRS government had weakened Telangana’s irrigation and power sectors, claiming that its governance had failed to fulfil the promise of “Neellu, Nidhulu, Niyamakalu” (water, funds and jobs).
