Class 11 student shot dead in MP’s Morena

Morena, June 17 (UNI) A student was allegedly shot dead by four masked bike-borne assailants in Morena district in Madhya Pradesh, police said on Tuesday.

Police sources said the victim, Malishka Kedera (19), a Class 11 student, was traveling with her parents on a bike from village Balhara to their home in village Badarpara on Monday night.

The assailants stopped their bike and shot Malishka dead before fleeing the scene. The deceased's father, Lakhan Kedera, informed the police that there had been a long-standing land dispute with a fellow villager named Bhikam.

Police sources said when the assailants stopped their bike, Malishka claimed to have identified them, prompting the attackers to shoot her, resulting in her instant death.

The police are investigating the motive behind the murder and are looking for the culprits.
