Couple killed as van knocked them down

Nellore, June 17 (UNI) A couple was killed, and three others were injured after a van crashed into a roadside shop at Brahmeswaram village in Duttalur mandal on Tuesday.

Police said that a van ploughed through a shop killing a couple Venkateswarulu and his wife Swarnalatha. Three others were injured in the accident, and they were admitted to the GGH.

Police have registered a case and shifted the bodies to the GGH for post-mortem.

The driver of the van is absconding, police said.
