CSEZ opens ‘Suvidha’ centre to facilitate investments and exports

Kochi, Sep 30 (UNI) A single-window facilitation centre has been established at the Cochin Special Economic Zone (CSEZ) in Kakkanad to provide faster and easier access to services for investors, Special Economic Zone (SEZ) units and Export Oriented Units (EOUs) in Kerala and Karnataka.
The ‘Suvidha’ centre will provide guidance on approvals, clearances, compliance requirements and procedures and facilitate coordination with the concerned departments and authorities, besides making interaction with the Office of the Development Commissioner easier.
The centre will cater to both existing units operating under the SEZ and EOU schemes and new entrepreneurs, providing assistance related to their operations and facilitating access to various services.
The initiative is aimed at promoting ease of doing business, improving accessibility to facilitation services and providing a more responsive environment for the business community.
It will also facilitate faster and more transparent coordination among investors, SEZ/EOU units and the concerned authorities, with the objective of encouraging new investments, boosting exports and creating employment opportunities within the CSEZ jurisdiction.
The centre, established at the CSEZ administrative building, was inaugurated by CSEZ Development Commissioner Hemalatha IAS.
CEPZ Industries Association president and EPCES Regional Chairman K K Pillai, CEPZ Industries Association secretary Anilkumar P C, EPCES Regional Director Supriya P and CSEZ officials attended the function on Tuesday.
