Day temperatures above normal at isolated places over West Bengal & Sikkim

Pune, June 30 (UNI) Day temperatures were markedly above normal ( > 5.1°C) at isolated places over Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim; appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at a few places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya and Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad; at isolated places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal.
The day temperatures above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at a few places over Bihar, coastal Karnataka and Lakshadweep; at isolated places over Odisha, Himachal Pradesh, Saurashtra and Kutch, Konkan and Goa, Telangana, Rayalaseema and Kerala and Mahe.
The temperatures near normal (-1.5°C to 1.5°C) at many places over Gangetic West Bengal and Madhya Maharashtra; at most places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and south interior Karnataka; at a few places over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, east Uttar Pradesh, west Rajasthan, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam and north interior Karnataka; at isolated places over west Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, east Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh.
The highest maximum temperature of 40.8°C was reported at Pathankot (Punjab), and Bikaner (Rajasthan).

The Southwest Monsoon has been Vigorous over west Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and active over Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Haryana, west Madhya Pradesh and Telangana. It has been subdued over Marathwada and south interior Karnataka.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, west Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Vidarbha, Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka and Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at many places in Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Odisha, Haryana, Punjab, west Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat region, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra and Kutch, Kerala and Lakshadweep and at isolated places in Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, Marathwada, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu and interior Karnataka.
