DDA consults stakeholders on MPD 2047, focuses on housing redevelopment and industrial growth

New Delhi, Sep 15 (UNI) The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has conducted its fourth and fifth rounds of stakeholder consultations on the Master Plan for Delhi 2047 (MPD 2047), with discussions focusing on the redevelopment of ageing group housing societies, structural safety, promotion of industry and greater private-sector participation in the capital's development.
The consultations were held in accordance with the directions of Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu as part of the DDA's three-month outreach programme aimed at ensuring coordinated, participatory and effective implementation of MPD 2047.
The fifth consultation, held on Tuesday, was attended by representatives of major industry and commerce bodies, including the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, ASSOCHAM and the Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC).
