Delhi cop, wife found dead inside locked Narela flat

New Delhi, Sep 19 (UNI) A Delhi Police head constable and his wife were found dead inside their flat in Narela on Saturday afternoon, with police launching an investigation to ascertain the sequence of events.
Police said a PCR call was received around 1 pm regarding a house that was locked from inside in the jurisdiction of Narela police station.
A police team reached the spot and found the flat locked from inside.
With the assistance of the Fire Brigade, police gained entry into the flat and found two people lying dead in the same room.
They were identified as Head Constable Monu, around 40, presently posted in North District, and his wife Meenu, 35.
In a statement, police said the circumstances leading to their deaths were not immediately clear. The police have not yet disclosed whether any foul play was suspected.
The FSL team, Crime Team and senior police officers visited the spot and examined the premises.
The bodies were subsequently shifted to Raja Harish Chandra Hospital for post-mortem examination, they said.
Police said legal proceedings have been initiated and further investigation is underway to establish the sequence of events and determine the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
