Dipke informed with sensitivity regarding grandmother’s passing away & offered all possible help: Delhi Police

New Delhi, Oct 11 (UNI) Delhi Police today stated that as soon as it received information regarding the passing away of (CJP founder) Abhijeet Dipke’s grandmother, the officers concerned soon approached him and conveyed the sad news, offering all possible assistance to him.
Addressing a press conference here, Deputy Commissioner of Police Neha Yadav said that with a very sensitive approach, arrangement regarding flights, making calls to family, etc were offered to Dipke by the police officers, while he was also repeatedly asked whether he wanted to speak to parents or relatives.
The Delhi Police also showed the video wherein in Dipke was offered help by the police officer, and offered all possible help, as stated by the police official.
Throwing light on the CJP and supporters conduct during the past, the officer said that they had shown previously that they could not stick to their undertaking during the past protest, and also not adhere to the local directives.
Police noted that earlier, when they had been allowed to protest, they did not abide by the law, while the crowd had allegedy indulged in violence, with incidents such as stone-pelting, and arson etc, inflicting damage to public property.
Therefore, the permission for the proposed protest was not given in wake of non-compliance and not following procedures, and also the current security and the law and order situation.
Dipke and two more of his associates had to be detained on Saturday, as a preventive measure after the permission for the proposed protest had been denied.
Meanwhile, protestors today also attempted to progress towards Jantar Mantar, despite the prohibitory orders in force, while there was no permission either for any gathering or protest in the area.
There were security arrangements in place across New Delhi District with route diversions initially, however the restrictions were relaxed later.
The police have also registered FIRs in connection with violation of prohibitory orders in place, and violent acts, while attempting to stage protests for which there was no permission.
For Monday, the INDIA bloc is also expected to protest, with Rahul Gandhi giving a call for reaching Supreme Court to submit memorandum to the Chief Justice of India in connection with SIR and CEC Gyanesh Kumar.
Protestors on Sunday continued trying to reach Connaught Place, and Jantar Mantar, while later many had to be detained and were later released with a warning. UNI AP SS
