Eight killed in 2 road accidents in Maha

Nashik, June 5 (UNI) Eight people were killed and three injured in separate two accidents during the last 24 hours in Nashik district.

In the first accident, five people, including three women and one four- year-old girl, were killed on the spot and other two persons were injured when a car which they were travelling crashed against one bungalow near Kolhapur Fata on Nashik-Kalwan road of the district on Wednesday night.

According to police, the deceased were identified as Shaila Vasant Bhadan (62), Sarla Bhalchandra Bhadan (50), Madhavi Metkar (32), Triveni Metkar (4) and car driver Khalik Mehamud Pathan (50).

The Bhadan family from Nampur was returning to Satana after attending a marriage ceremony at Nashik. The car driver Pathan lost his control of the car and hit one bungalow belonging to Vithobha Aher in Nashik-Kalwan road.

The injured person was admitted to the Nashik civil hospital. Police registered a complaint and further investigation is on.

In the second mishap three people were killed on the spot and one was seriously injured in a collision between two motorcycles in Surgana taluka of Nashik district on Tuesday evening.

The police said the collision occurred in the Chiral Ghat section. The deceased were identified as Bhaskar More , Mohan Pawar and Rohidas Gawli. The injured person was admitted to the Nashik civil hospital. The police have registered a complaint and further investigation is on.
