Kolhapur, Sindhudurg, June 20 (UNI) Four persons were killed on the spot and one was seriously injured in a head-on collision between a State Transport bus and an auto-rickshaw, at Naringray village in Devgad tehsil of Sindhudurg district this evening.

According to Devgad police, a State Transport bus from Vijaydurg to Malvan, collided head on with an auto-rickshaw. Of the five persons in the auto-rickshaw, four were killed while one was seriously injured. The injured person has been admitted at a civil hospital in Devgad.

Devgad police inspector Bharat Dhumal said that the deceased and the injured person are yet to be identified, and police are proceeding with the investigation.
