Four nabbed in Manipur

Imphal, June 11 (UNI) Manipur Police and security personnel apprehended four persons for possessing arms during the last 24 hours.

Police said security forces were attacked by protestors on June 9 during a protest, and after a subsequent search operation, the person involved in the incident was nabbed with a pistol.



Security forces arrested three militants from Pantha under Moreh-PS, Tengnoupal District.

Manipur Police said during the three-day bandh in the state from June 8 to 10, 19 individuals were picked up for their involvement in street violence in Imphal East District.

These individuals were found blocking roads, harassing commuters, and creating public disturbances, mostly under the influence of alcohol.
