Govt close to realising dream of Nava Keralam: CM

Kozhikode, May 20 (UNI) Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said on Tuesday that the state government has a clear understanding of the future of Kerala and is close to the dream of Nava Keralam (New Kerala).

Addressing a press conference at Guest house here, he said, "The LDF government in Kerala has completed four years on Tuesday. This government is a continuation of the 2016 government and nine consecutive years of development and social progress have passed. On this occasion, Kerala is upholding the message of comprehensive and all-encompassing development and social progress that embodies equality and brotherhood before the world."

He further said the state government will publish the "progress report" of the LDF government in the fourth anniversary valedictory function to be held at Thiruvananthapuram on May 23.

He also said the aim of the state government is to elevate Kerala to a level comparable to developed countries by ensuring economic progress and social justice.

Vijayan further said, "We are moving towards a sustainable and equitable knowledge economy."

He also said the people of Kerala are with the government to make that Nava Keralam a reality and noted that to achieve this goal, people have been giving the support at every stage.

The fourth anniversary celebration of the second consecutive LDF government is a historic moment when everyone is united to continue what Kerala needs and what the people of Kerala want in the best possible way.

This unity, dedication and the movement of people can continue with greater strength, Vijayan added.
