Grand Drone Show illuminates Ayodhya's sky on Deepotsav

Ayodhya, Nov 7 (UNI) Lord Ram’s warrior form, Ravan Vadh and the Pushpak Viman emerged above Ayodhya’s illuminated ghats on Saturday as 2,100 Made in India drones brought the Ramayan into the night sky during Deepotsav 2026.
Lakshman and Hanuman appeared in heroic formations, while Ram Darbar and a depiction of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple connected the aerial storytelling with Lord Ram’s homecoming. Figures of Maharishi Valmiki and Goswami Tulsidas also featured, recognising the literary traditions that have carried the epic across generations.
Music and narration linked the formations, giving visitors successive images to follow above a riverfront illuminated by more than 30 lakh diyas.
“Seeing Lord Ram, the Pushpak Viman and Ram Darbar take shape above the illuminated ghats made the journey from Gujarat worthwhile. It was a wonderful way to experience Deepotsav,” said Prakhar Agarwal, a visitor from Gujarat.
The fleet expanded from 1,100 drones in 2025 to 2,100 this year. A further show on November 9 will give Ayodhya residents another opportunity to watch the aerial presentation.
