UP CM Yogi pulls Ram Rath, VP joins Lord Ram’s symbolic coronation at tenth Deepotsav

Ayodhya, Nov 7 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath symbolically pulled the Ram Rath during Lord Ram’s ceremonial welcome to Ayodhya on Saturday, before Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan joined the symbolic coronation at Ramkatha Park during Uttar Pradesh’s tenth Deepotsav.

The Chief Minister also visited an exhibition at the venue tracing Ayodhya’s historical journey from 1528 onwards and showcasing the city’s development and changing landscape.
The afternoon’s homecoming unfolded with the helicopter arrival of artists portraying Lord Ram and Mata Sita near Ramkatha Park. Bharat Milap recreated Lord Ram’s reunion with Bharat, carrying the narrative from his return to the ceremonial Rajyabhishek.
At Ramkatha Park, the Vice President joined Governor Anandiben Patel and the Chief Minister for puja and aarti of Lord Ram and Mata Sita, followed by the symbolic coronation. Revered saints were also felicitated.
UP Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh presented shawls and mementoes to the Vice President, Governor and Chief Minister.
The ceremonies followed the morning Shobhayatra, which brought Ramayan tableaux and folk performances from Saket Mahavidyalaya towards Ramkatha Park. The celebrations will move to the Saryu riverfront in the evening for Maha Aarti and the diya illumination at Ram Ki Paidi.
