Sydney, May 2 (UNI) Police in Sydney are investigating a shooting and car fire in the city's northwest.
A police statement issued on Friday said that officers were called to reports of shots fired in Marsden Park, 40 kilometers northwest of central Sydney, at about 10:45 p.m. local time on Thursday.
Officers attended the scene and found that several gunshots had been fired into a house, but nobody was injured.
A short time later, emergency services were called to reports of a car fire in the nearby suburb of Girraween.
Fire and rescue crews extinguished the blaze, but the vehicle was destroyed.
Police established crime scenes at both locations and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incidents and whether they were linked.
