Harish Rao has surpassed KCR in telling lies: Mettu Sai Kumar

Hyderabad, Oct 25 (UNI) Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Fisheries Chairman Mettu Sai Kumar launched a sharp attack on BRS leader T Harish Rao, accusing him of spreading falsehoods and holding him equally responsible, along with former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, for the alleged irregularities in the Kaleshwaram project and the collapse of the Medigadda barrage.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan, Sai Kumar used sarcastic expansions of the BRS acronym, calling it a “Baladur Rashtra Samithi”, “Bekar Rashtra Samithi” and “Battebaaz Rashtra Samithi”. He alleged that BRS leaders, who had governed Telangana for ten years, were now preaching morality despite their own record in power.
Describing Harish Rao as “Abaddala Harish Rao” instead of “Tanniru Harish Rao”, Sai Kumar alleged that the former minister had surpassed his uncle KCR in telling lies and never spoke the truth. He said Harish Rao was as accountable as KCR for the issues surrounding the Medigadda barrage and the Kaleshwaram project.
The Congress leader alleged that the Medigadda barrage had suffered damage because of corruption and a hunger for commissions during the previous BRS government. Referring to the recent visit by BRS leaders to Medigadda, he challenged them to question Harish Rao about the project and demand answers regarding the alleged irregularities.
Sai Kumar also accused Harish Rao of attempting to establish himself as the BRS's second-in-command. He questioned why senior leaders such as Talasani Srinivas Yadav and Padma Rao Goud were not being considered for the party's working president post, pointing out that Talasani had been elected as an MLA five times.
He further alleged that irregularities involving Quthbullapur MLA K P Vivekananda Goud were significant and referred to leaders such as Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Gangula Kamalakar and Vivekananda Goud as political outsiders within the BRS.
The remarks came amid continuing political exchanges between the ruling Congress and the opposition BRS over the Kaleshwaram project and the damage to the Medigadda barrage.
