Haryana announces Rs 5 lakh aid each for families of 16 people killed in four incidents

Chandigarh, Sep 28 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Monday announced financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh each to the families of 16 people who lost their lives in separate incidents in Kurukshetra, Sirsa, Ambala and Faridabad over the past few days.
The state government will provide the assistance to the families of six people killed in an accident in Kurukshetra on September 24 and three people who died in another accident in Sirsa the same day, an official statement said.
The families of six people killed in an accident in Ambala on September 27 will also receive Rs 5 lakh each, it said. In addition, the government announced Rs 5 lakh assistance for the family of a girl who died in an accident in Faridabad on September 27.
The government will thus provide a total of Rs 80 lakh in financial assistance to the families of the 16 victims.
Expressing condolences to the bereaved families, Saini said the state government stood with them in their hour of grief and would extend all possible assistance.
“The pain of losing a loved one is extremely difficult to bear. In this difficult time, the government stands with the affected families with complete sensitivity,” the chief minister said.
The announcement covers fatalities in the four accidents that occurred between September 24 and September 27, according to the statement.
