Haryana Chief Minister Saini rolls out red carpet for Singapore capital, says state brimming with opportunity

Singapore/Panchkula, Oct 4 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini urged Singapore's business elite to pour investment into his state, declaring that India's industrial north offers "huge potential" for manufacturing, technology and infrastructure development.
Saini, in Singapore on a three-day mission to court foreign capital, made the pitch at an investment-promotion event hosted by the Singapore Business Federation (SBF), the city-state's apex business chamber.
The gathering brought together top industrialists, sector experts and government representatives from both countries to explore ways to deepen bilateral economic cooperation.
"Haryana has immense possibilities for industrial development and investment," Saini told the forum, according to a statement from his office.
He detailed the state's investor-friendly policies, expanding industrial capacity, infrastructure growth and the range of facilities available to foreign investors, urging Singapore industry leaders to seize the opportunities on offer.
The event carried the weight of high-level Indian state diplomacy.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai also attended and showcased his own state's investment potential, while India's High Commissioner to Singapore, Dr. Shilpak Ambule, stressed the need to fortify economic and diplomatic ties between the two nations, the statement said.

Delegates held detailed discussions across a wide spectrum of sectors including manufacturing, technology, logistics, energy, education and healthcare.
The talks focused on how Singaporean capital and expertise could flow into Indian states through joint ventures, greenfield projects and technology transfers.
Saini expressed hope that the dialogue would "give new direction to bilateral cooperation" and unlock fresh opportunities for investment, trade and technical collaboration between India and Singapore, his office added.
The Haryana delegation underscored the seriousness of the outreach.
Saini was accompanied by Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh, Chief Principal Secretary Rajesh Khullar, Industries Commissioner and Secretary Dr. Amit Kumar Agarwal, Director General of Industries Yash Garg, Director of Information and Public Relations Dr. Aditya Dahiya, HSIIDC Managing Director Vinay Pratap Singh, and HSIIDC Additional Managing Director Aniruddh Yadav.
SBF Chairman Prasoon Mukherjee led the Singapore side.
The forum marked a key moment in Saini's Singapore swing, which has already seen him study urban infrastructure at Suntec City and Gardens by the Bay.
With the business engagement, the Chief Minister shifted from observation to active deal-making, positioning Haryana as a competitive, innovation-driven destination for global investors at a time when Indian states are aggressively competing to attract foreign capital.
