Haryana: CM's OSD urges youth to embrace self-employment

Bhiwani, Oct 25 (UNI) With employment and livelihood opportunities emerging as key concerns for young people, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini's OSD Virender Badkhalsa today urged youth to turn their skills into businesses, become self-reliant and create jobs for others instead of depending solely on government or private-sector employment.
Addressing representatives of social and religious organisations and NGOs at the PWD Rest House in Bhiwani, Badkhalsa said entrepreneurship and self-employment could help young people secure their livelihoods while contributing to the wider economy.
He called on social organisations to support youth empowerment and promote awareness about opportunities for self-employment. The meeting also discussed environmental protection, organic farming, conservation of natural resources and employment generation.
Emphasising the role of community organisations, Badkhalsa urged them to encourage environment-friendly farming practices and mobilise people for social welfare initiatives. He said collective efforts were needed to build a society that was economically self-reliant and environmentally conscious.
He also cited the social contribution of Dada Khushal Singh Dahiya of Sonipat as an example for the younger generation, urging youth to combine professional growth with social responsibility.
Badkhalsa called for coordinated action by citizens, NGOs and social and religious organisations to expand awareness, promote sustainable livelihoods and create better opportunities for future generations. UNI KK SS
