Haryana declares total digital war on corruption: CM launches 'Satark-Haryana' App

Panchkula, Sep 24 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Thursday launched the 'Satark - Haryana' mobile application, giving every citizen a direct, encrypted, and real-time line to the State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (SV & ACB).
Unveiled from the Haryana Secretariat, the app shatters bureaucratic barricades and converts smartphones into portable anti-corruption command centers, enabling one-touch complaints, instant digital evidence uploads, and covert intelligence sharing without fear of exposure.

The platform is engineered for maximum impact with minimum friction. Citizens no longer need to hunt for helpline numbers or navigate government switchboards; a single tap in the app connects them to an immediate hotline with SV & ACB operators.
More significantly, the app introduces a confidential intelligence window for those who possess incriminating information, such as videos, audio recordings, or photographs, but do not wish to trigger immediate prosecution. This feature ensures complete anonymity, feeding critical data into a secure digital repository that the bureau can mine for pattern analysis and future surgical strikes against corruption networks.
According to a press release issued from Police Headquarters Panchkula, the app integrates all 23 districts into a unified digital grid, making geography irrelevant in the fight against graft. A user in any corner of Haryana can instantly pull up the local ACB in-charge's name, mobile number, and precise office location via Google Maps, enabling both remote contact and physical visits.
If any bureau official fails to act or behaves unprofessionally, the app bypasses mid-level obstruction by providing direct access to senior officers, including the concerned Superintendent of Police, complete with contact details and navigation routes.
Transparency is hardwired into the system. Citizens can download copies of FIRs directly through the platform where legally permitted, ensuring that complainants remain informed and empowered throughout the investigative cycle. Currently live on the Google Play Store, the app will soon expand to the Apple App Store to ensure no user is left outside the surveillance net.
But with this digital empowerment comes a severe warning. SV & ACB chief Dr. Arshinder Singh Chawla issued a blunt and unequivocal threat against misuse, declaring that the bureau will come down heavily on anyone using the platform to settle personal scores. He cautioned that uploading false, fabricated, or AI-generated fake content as genuine evidence will trigger immediate legal retaliation against the complainant. "This is a sword against corruption, not a tool for digital vendetta," he said, urging citizens to feed the system only verified, factual intelligence.
Additional Principal Secretary Yashpal Yadav and senior officials were present as Haryana signalled that its war on corruption has officially gone digital, decentralised, and decidedly ruthless.
