Haryana: National Statistical Office to conduct socio-economic surveys in Sonipat

Sonipat, Oct 27 (UNI) The National Statistical Office (NSO), under the union Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, is conducting socio-economic surveys across selected areas of Sonipat and other Haryana districts this month to support policy formulation and development planning.
Deputy Commissioner Neha Singh today said the surveys cover household income, employment, household debt and investment, the economic condition of agricultural households, unincorporated enterprises and migration.
In Sonipat district, Asawarpur has been selected for the National Household Income Survey (NHIS-2026). The Periodic Labour Force Survey (PLFS) will cover Rollad Latifpur, Madina in Gohana and Sector 15, Sonipat.
Kishora village and Sector 19, Sonipat, have been selected for the All India Debt and Investment Survey (AIDIS) and the Situation Assessment Survey of Agricultural Households (SAS).
The Annual Survey of Unincorporated Sector Enterprises (ASUSE) will cover DCRUST University, Sonipat; Barhi Malik; Dev Nagar, Sonipat; and Madina in Gohana. The Migration Survey will be conducted in Pipli village in Kharkhoda tehsil and Puanam village in Sonipat tehsil.
Singh said NSO officials would contact selected households and establishments to collect information. All data would remain confidential, identities would not be disclosed in published reports, and the information would be used exclusively for statistical purposes.
She urged residents and establishments selected for the surveys to cooperate with officials and provide accurate information, stressing that reliable data are essential for effective planning and development. UNI KK NST
