Haryana Power employees call off strike after government assures no privatisation

Panchkula, Oct 23 (UNI) Haryana electricity employees have announced the end of their strike following talks with the state government, which assured them that the power sector would not be privatised. The announcement was made jointly by government representatives and employee leaders after their meeting concluded.
The decision to call off the strike came after the government’s assurance on privatisation, a key concern of the protesting employees.
Both sides also agreed to hold another meeting on November 3 to discuss the employees’ remaining demands. The next round of talks is expected to take up issues that remain unresolved.
With the strike called off, attention will now turn to the resumption of normal operations and the outcome of negotiations on the outstanding demands.
