Haryana: Pregnant woman gives birth to a daughter in E Rickshaw

Kaithal, Sep 20 (UNI) Before reaching the hospital, a pregnant woman's labor pains intensified in an e-rickshaw and she gave birth to a daughter. Muskan, a resident of Pant Nagar, suddenly went into labor and was being taken to the Civil Hospital in an e-rickshaw with an elderly woman. She delivered near the hospital's turn in Sector 18.
Upon receiving the information, nursing staff from the Civil Hospital arrived at the scene and attended to the mother and child. They were then taken to the hospital. Doctors say both mother and newborn are healthy.
Jagir Singh, an e-rickshaw driver, said he lives in Hari Nagar on Qutbpur Road. Around 1 p.m., he was on his way home to eat lunch when a woman in Pant Nagar informed him that Muskan, a pregnant woman, was nearing her delivery time. The ambulance might be delayed, so he agreed to take her to the hospital. Taking an elderly woman with him, Muskan was placed in the e-rickshaw and headed for the Civil Hospital.
Muskan's labor pains intensified just a short distance before reaching the hospital. She gave birth to a daughter in an e-rickshaw near the hospital turnoff in Sector 18. Dr. Ashima, a doctor in the hospital's gynecology ward, said that upon receiving information about the delivery, nursing staff from the Civil Hospital arrived at the scene and attended to the mother and child.
Both were later brought to the hospital and are doing well. The hospital staff has advised that pregnant woman anticipating delivery should be brought to hospital in time to avoid delivery related complications. UNI XC CDS
