Heavy rain likely in North Coastal Andhra over next few days

Amaravati, May 25 (UNI) Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam from May 26 to 29, the Meteorological Centre said on Sunday.

In a daily weather report here, it said that the same situation is likely to prevail in South Coastal Andhra Pradesh on May 26,27, 28 and in Rayalaseema on May 27 and 28.

Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds with speed ranging from 40-50 kmph are likely to occur at isolated places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the next five days.

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at many places or at a few places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the next seven days.

Rainfall occurred at a few places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam and at one or two places over Rayalaseema, the report added.
