Thiruvananthapuram, May 25 (UNI) Kerala BJP will launch a year-long series of protest programmes aiming to expose the misgovernance, corruption, and policy failures of the CPI(M)-led LDF government in the State from May 26, Party President Rajeev Chandrasekhar said on Sunday.
The BJP-led NDA’s year-long campaign "Keralam Veena Pathittandu" will be inaugurated in front of the Government Secretariat, the BJP Chief said.
"In the evening, protest torches will be lit across all panchayats, marking the launch of a statewide, year-long movement to remove the LDF from power," he added.
Nine years after coming to power on May 25, 2016, the Pinarayi Vijayan Government is splurging taxpayer money to celebrate its anniversary to deflect attention from its governance failures, he said.
"What should have been a decade of progress has instead been nine years of corruption, nepotism, zero development, soaring inflation, rising unemployment, and a collapse of law and order. To expose the ugly face of this Left misrule, the NDA is launching the ‘Keralam Veena Pathittandu’ campaign tomorrow," he explained.
"The campaign begins with a protest dharna in front of the Secretariat, where I will be joined by senior NDA leaders. By evening, Karyakartas across every panchayat will light protest torches, signaling the start of a people-powered year-long movement. The campaign will then reach every household and every voter," he said.
"The Pinarayi Vijayan Government has completed 9 years and now enters its 10 year in power. What should have been a decade of progress has become a lost decade, marked by misgovernance, corruption, and the steady erosion of Kerala’s development potential," the BJP leader alleged.
