Himachal Congress leader Rajesh Sharma appointed Chairman of Board of School Education Dharamshala

Kàngra, June 28 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee treasurer Dr Rajesh Sharma was today appointed as the Chairman of the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education Dharamshala.

A notification in this connection was issued today by the government and the copy of the notification was handed over to Dr. Rajesh Sharma by the Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and his wife Kamlesh Thakur, MLA Dehra.

Dr. Sharma contested polls as an independent twice from Kàngra assembly seat and once from Dehra on Congress ticket but lost all the three times.

It was during by-election after Hoshiyar Singh MLA Dehra lost the political battle Dr Sharma was aspirant for Congress ticket from Dehra but was denied the ticket. However, Kamlesh Thakur, wife of Chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, was given Congress ticket and she won.
Dr. Rajesh Sharma was assured by the Chief Minister that he will be well accommodated in days to come.

It was following his assurance Dr. Rajesh Sharma supported Kamlesh Thakur and now Dr. Rajesh was compensated today by appointing him as Chairman HP Board of School Education Dharamshala.
Deputy Commissioner Kàngra Haimraj Bairwa was officiating as Chairman of the Board in absence of a regular Chairman.
