Rs. 4.83 cr to be spent on irrigation and drinking water schemes in Dharkandi: Kewal Singh Pathania

Shahpur (Kàngra), June 28 (UNI) Rs 4.83 crore will be spent on different drinking water and irrigation schemes in for seven panchayats of Dharkandi area under Shahpur assembly constituency of Kangra. Thousands of villagers will get the benefit of these schemes as soon as they get completed.
Deputy Chief Whip and MLA Shahpur Kewal Singh Pathania told UNI after a review meeting held in Ridkmar today.
He inspected the construction work of Forest Hut Ridakmar and while reviewing the progress of the schemes implemented at the rural level by the development block office, he instructed the officers to complete the work with quality and timeliness.
He said that projects related to public interest should be the priority of the administration so that the pace of development can be accelerated. He discussed regional public problems with Congress officials and workers at the Forest Rest House in Ridkmar and directed the concerned officials to find quick solutions.
MLA made a surprise inspection of the Di Darini Krishi Seva Sahakari Sabha Samiti and visited the Forest Department's nursery at Ridkmar. He informed that the saplings being prepared here are being planted in the entire Dharkandi area, which will strengthen environmental protection. Senior officers and political workers were present on this occasion.

Patwari suspended in Bharatmala land scam found hanging, Congress demands CBI probe
