Hisar Police advises Delhi-bound travellers to check traffic, security updates amid protests

Hisar, Oct 11 (UNI) Hisar Police on Sunday issued a public advisory urging Delhi-bound travellers to check official traffic and security updates before starting their journey amid ongoing protests in the national capital and possible changes in traffic management arrangements.
Superintendent of Police Siddhant Jain urged students, office-goers, traders, patients and other commuters travelling from Hisar to Delhi to plan their journeys in advance, allow extra time for delays and avoid areas witnessing protests or traffic restrictions unless necessary.
The advisory asks travellers heading to railway stations, bus terminals, hospitals and other essential destinations to check the status of their routes and relevant transport services before leaving home.
Travellers have also been advised to follow police instructions, avoid crowded protest sites and check official traffic advisories before taking alternative routes.
Hisar Police cautioned commuters against relying on unverified social media messages, old videos or rumours about traffic restrictions, transport disruptions or untoward incidents. Travellers were urged to verify such information through official channels before making travel decisions.
The police also advised commuters to inform family members about their travel plans and use the emergency helpline 112 for assistance in an emergency.
Appealing for public cooperation, Jain said citizens should remain alert, follow the law and comply with police directions to ensure safe and smooth movement.
Hisar Police said public safety remained a priority and urged residents to exercise caution while travelling to Delhi during the ongoing protests.
