Author Dr Neeru Mittal ‘Neer’ releases two books, receives two literary honours at Laghu Kavita Kumbh

Panchkula, Oct 11 (UNI) Senior litterateur Dr Neeru Mittal ‘Neer’ released two critical works and received two literary honours at the Laghu Kavita Kumbh, organised jointly by the Akhil Bharatiya Prerna Sahitya Evam Shodh Sansthan, Kurukshetra, and the Haryana Pradeshik Laghu Kavita Manch, Sirsa.
The books, Dr Madhukant Ka Kavya Sahitya—Samiksha Sandarbh and Samkaleen Sahitya Alochana—Ek Drishti, were released in the presence of prominent writers and academics, including Dr Madhukant, Professor Baburam, Dr Anjana Garg, Professor Roop Devgun, Dr Jai Bhagwan Singla and Prem Vij.
Dr Mittal was conferred the Laghu Kavita Ratna Samman-2026 by the Haryana Pradeshik Laghu Kavita Manch, Sirsa, for her contribution to the development and promotion of short poetry. She also received the Laghu Kavita Shriman i Samman-2026 from the organisation’s Faridabad unit on the occasion of the release of her short-poetry collection Jazbaaton Ki Mom Battiyan.
Dr Mittal has published 20 books, several of which have been translated into Marathi, Punjabi and English. Research for a PhD on her literary work is also underway at Baba Mastnath University.
Writers attending the event praised her contribution to literary criticism and contemporary literary discourse, highlighting the role of critical writing in interpreting poetry and understanding emerging literary trends.
