Hyd: All Skill India policies to be effectively implemented across Telangana: MoS Chaudhary

Hyderabad, June 16 (UNI) Minister of State (Independent Charge) of Ministry of Skill Development Jayant Chaudhary on Monday said skill India policies would be effectively implemented in Telangana ensuring the benefits of such programmes reach every region, including the rural areas.
He stressed that this initiative aligns with the mantra of social justice promoting inclusive growth for all sections of society.
In his address after inaugurating Pradhan Mantri National Apprenticeship Mela (PMNAM) and Job Fair organized here as part of the Government of India’s Skill India Mission to empower youth through hands-on training and employment opportunities, Chaudhary underscored the importance of the National Education Policy (NEP), which envisions a 360-degree approach to education and skill development.
“Today, there exists a universe of opportunities for our youth,” he said, highlighting the need for young people to constantly look within, improve themselves, and stay aligned with the evolving demands of the workforce.
The event exemplifies the government's unwavering commitment to empowering every young citizen by promoting equity, inclusiveness, and accessible opportunities in skill development, Chaudhary added.
The Job fair witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 80–100 companies, including key industry leaders and local enterprises.
Over 25 companies offered apprenticeship opportunities across a wide range of trades and sectors, giving candidates a chance to earn while they learn.
Representatives from various Skill Sector Councils were also present to provide guidance and support to youth and employers alike.
In addition to apprenticeship opportunities, a Loan Mela was also organized at the venue, where banks and private finance companies participated actively.
They provided information and assistance on schemes related to self-employment, education loans, start-up support, and other financial services — creating a one-stop platform for youth empowerment. The event saw participation from hundreds of candidates from Hyderabad and neighbouring districts. UNI KNR SSP
