Hyd: DDSC to hold week-long sports and cultural event to mark Intl Day of Disability

Hyderabad, June 18 (UNI) The Deccan Democratic Sporting Club (DDSC), in association with Sports Village, will host a week-long sports and cultural event from December 3 to 7, 2025, in Hyderabad to mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
The initiative aims to foster inclusivity, empowerment, and active participation of differently-abled children through sports and cultural engagement, the Club said in a release here today.
The event will invite special schools from across Telangana to participate in inclusive sports competitions, cultural programmes, and motivational sessions.
Designed to provide a vibrant and supportive platform, the event will enable differently-abled students to showcase their talents, build confidence, and embrace the spirit of unity through sport.
Mr. Habeeb Mohsin Al Hamed, Chairman of the Deccan Democratic Sporting Club, a well-known philanthropist and grassroots sports promoter in the Barkas region, has been instrumental in championing this inclusive cause.
As part of the event’s build-up, representatives from Sports Village met M. Goutham Reddy, Vice Chairman of Re Sustainability Ltd and Vice-Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), here today to discuss strategic support and partnership.
