Hyd: Private school bus driver gets two-days jail for drunken driving

Hyderabad, June 24 (UNI) A 35-year-old school bus driver who was caught during a drunken driving check recently was convicted and sentenced to two- days imprisonment here today.
The driver, Y Shiva Reddy, who was driving the bus of Sri Chaitanya School under the influence of alcohol , was caught by the Hyderabad City Traffic police during the special drunk driving check, said Rahul Hegde B.K, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic-1), Hyderabad in a release here .
His BAC level was recorded at 202 mg/ 100 ml of blood.
A case was booked against him and Shiva Reddy was produced before the court along with the chargesheet today.
The court sentenced him to a two day jail term and sent him to Chanchalguda jail.
The Hyderabad Traffic police, which will continue this special drive for the safety of school children, requested the parents and school management to check the bus and auto drivers before sending their children to school.
