Hyderabad: CP C V Anand honoured with ‘Excellence in Anti-Narcotics’ Award at World Police Summit 2025

Hyderabad, May 17 (UNI) In a moment of immense pride for Telangana and the country, Hyderabad City Police Commissioner C V Anand, has been honoured with the prestigious ‘Excellence in Anti-Narcotics’ Award at the World Police Summit 2025 held in Dubai.
The award recognises the relentless and proactive efforts of the Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (HNEW) in tackling the menace of drugs and enforcing a strict “Zero Tolerance” approach towards narcotic substances.
Congratulating CP C.V. Anand on this international recognition, Dr Jitender, Director General of Police, Telangana, stated, “This global recognition reflects the dedication and proactive role of HNEW in combating the drug menace.
Telangana Police will continue its committed efforts toward building a Drug-Free Telangana.”
The award serves as a testament to Hyderabad Police's strategic enforcement, intelligence-based operations, and continuous efforts to keep the youth and society safe from the dangers of narcotic abuse, a police statement said on Saturday.
