Tel Aviv/Tehran, June 12 (UNI) Israel is fully prepared to launch an operation against Iran in case of any attack on its soil, and has already briefed US officials about its policy. In response, Iran has also said that it will launch missiles at Israel should there be any provocation.
According to CBS News, in anticipation of Tehran’s potential attacks against any American targets in Iraq, the US has advised some citizens to leave the region.
Iranian military and government leaders have already met to plan their response to a possible Israeli strike, as per Sputnik citing NYT report.
A barrage of hundreds of ballistic missiles will be launched at Israel without hesitation, a senior Iranian official warned.
Iranian officials also reacted to remarks by US General Michael E. Kurilla, the head of Central Command, as he testified before a House committee that he had presented Donald Trump with “a wide range of options” for a potential strike against Iran.
The Iranian Mission to the UN in New York, condemning the US wrote on its X account: “Threats of ‘overwhelming force’ won’t change facts: Iran is not seeking a nuclear weapon”, adding that the US’ “militarism” is only escalating the situation.
“Diplomacy – not militarism – is the only path forward,” it added.
