J&K: Truck driver among 2 killed in Ramban road accident

Jammu, June 28 (UNI) A truck driver was among two persons killed today in a road accident in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Police said that a truck on its way from Jammu to Srinagar this morning fell into a 150-foot-deep gorge when the driver lost his control on reaching Nachlana in Banihal area of Ramban.

Police and locals acted swiftly and launched the rescue operation.

However, the driver identified as Raju Bhat,40, resident of Chak Rekhwala, district Udhampur and another person, Suraj (30), were found dead on the spot.

The bodies were shifted to the Sub-District Hospital, Banihal, police added.
