Jan Suraaj party gets school bag symbol for Bihar assembly election

Patna, June 25 (UNI) Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraaj party will enter the Bihar electoral battle with school bag as its common symbol in the assembly elections due in October-November this year.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) sources said here today that registered un-recognised political parties had applied for allotment of a common symbol for their candidates in the forthcoming Bihar Legislative Assembly elections.
Considering their request, the ECI allotted symbols as applied by them, the sources said, and informed that Jan Suraaj has been allotted school bag, a common symbol for the upcoming elections.
Meanwhile, Jan Suraaj leader Prashant Kishor, expressing pleasure at the allotment of the symbol, said that the party had requested the ECI to allot school bag symbol to it.
Speaking about the top five agenda of the party, he said that ensuring a better education system for the children of Bihar was on the top of its agenda, and keeping this in mind the party had requested the ECI for the said symbol. He said all 243 candidates of Jan Suraaj would contest the upcoming elections on the school bag symbol.
Meanwhile, the ECI allotted Boat with man and sail to the Vikassheel Insaan Party of Mukesh Sahni, Scissors to Bhartiya Sarthak Party, Bucket to Lohiya Janta Dal and Gas Cylinder to Rashtriya Lok Morcha.
