Dhanbad, Oct 3 (UNI) A Dhanbad court on Saturday sentenced three convicts to life imprisonment in the 2004 AK-47 firing case at gangster Fahim Khan’s Wasseypur residence.
District and Sessions Judge-III Paras Kumar Sinha sentenced Shahid Alam, Shahadat Hussain and Tanveer Alam to life imprisonment under sections 302, 120-B and 149 of the Indian Penal Code.
The court also awarded seven years’ imprisonment under Section 27 of the Arms Act and 10 years under Section 307. It directed that all sentences would run concurrently, victim-side advocate Shahbaz Salam said.

Police had registered a case under charges including murder, attempt to murder, criminal conspiracy and provisions of the Arms Act.
The court had convicted Alam, Hussain and Tanveer on September 28, 2026. The date for hearing on the quantum of sentence was fixed for October 3.
With Saturday’s order, the court has concluded the sentencing proceedings against the three convicts in the 22-year-old case.
