kakinada Collector, SP Inspect Venue for CII Conference; Pawan Kalyan’s Visit Likely

Kakinada, Oct 10 (UNI) District Collector M. Harendhira Prasad, Superintendent of Police Bindu Madhav and Joint Collector Apurva Bharat on Saturday inspected arrangements at the JNTUK campus here for the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) regional conference scheduled to be held on October 12, with Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan likely to attend.
The officials also inspected the helipad site and reviewed the arrangements for the event.
Speaking to the media, the Collector said the regional conference, previously held in Visakhapatnam, would bring together invited participants to explore industrial opportunities in Kakinada district.
He said special stalls showcasing small and medium-scale industries in the district would be set up at the venue to highlight local industrial capabilities and investment opportunities.
The conference would also showcase land available for industrial development, basic amenities and infrastructure, including seaports, rail connectivity and road networks, to prospective investors, he added.
The Collector said initiatives for developing multi-storey industrial buildings, including flatted factories, and industrial parks would also be presented at the conference.
Expressing hope that the event would help attract new industries to the district, he said industrial development would create employment opportunities for local youth.
