Karnataka: Cong MLA Raju Kage drops resignation bombshell

Kagwad (Karnataka), June 23 (UNI) A political tremor shook the Congress ranks on Monday as senior MLA Raju Kage lashed out at his own party, accusing the Karnataka government of corruption and internal sabotage — and announced he would resign within the next 48 hours.

Drawing parallels with fellow legislator B.R. Patil’s recent rebellion, Kage didn’t mince words. “What happened to BR Patil is happening to me too,” he told reporters. “I stand with him. I’m ready to step down. I’ll meet the Chief Minister and hand over my resignation.”

The Kagwad MLA’s frustration was palpable. He revealed that he has been submitting development proposals for two years, only to be stonewalled at every turn.

Kage hinted at deep-rooted disillusionment within the ruling party, saying he has reached a mental breaking point. “If I resign after meeting the CM, don’t be surprised. I’ve had enough.”
