Kerala’s 1st cybersecurity SaaS startup expands operations in Technopark

Thiruvananthapuram, May 23 (UNI) Kerala’s first cybersecurity SaaS (Software as a Service) product startup Beagle Security expanded its operations in Technopark here on Friday, coinciding with the company’s fifth anniversary and when global cybersecurity concerns are soaring critical levels.
Manoj Abraham, IPS, DGP, and Director, Vigilance & Anti-Corruption Bureau, Col. Sanjeev Nair (Retd), CEO of Technopark, Sreekumar V, Secretary, GTECH & Centre Head, Tata Elxsi, and Vasanth Varada, Deputy General Manager (Marketing and Customer Relationship), attended the inaugural ceremony of the new office located at Yamuna Building, Technopark Phase III.
Speaking on the occasion, Abraham said cybersecurity startups play a major role in preventing cybercrimes in the state and developing solutions for future.
“Beagle Security has been a constant partner for the police department in developing solutions for analyzing the dark web. At a time when there is an unprecedented spurt in cybercrimes, companies like Beagle are working together with us as volunteers and it is going to benefit both the parties,” he added.
Col Sanjeev Nair (Retd) said cyber risk mitigation is of prime importance and even during Op Sindoor, effective cybersecurity posturing was ensured against offensive cyber activity from the adversary, hence there are a myriad of opportunities for cybersecurity firms like Beagle Security to enhance and ensure robust cybersecurity in various fields.
He added that it’s very heartening to see companies like Beagle Security, Prophaze etc in Technopark gaining prominence in the cybersecurity domain and making the nation stronger.
Founded in 2020, Beagle Security has become a trusted name in cybersecurity, with the company's proprietary AI-powered automated penetration testing platform - developed entirely in Kerala.
The platform has disrupted traditional security models by making enterprise-grade protection accessible to organizations that previously couldn't afford comprehensive cybersecurity measures.
Having 1800-plus customers spanning across 144 countries, Beagle Security has played a key role in making cybersecurity more accessible and scalable for modern digital teams.
The expansion comes as global cybersecurity concerns reach critical levels, with recent data showing a 300 percent increase in Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)-based attacks targeting businesses across sectors.
Beagle Security's technology has identified 42,000-plus critical vulnerabilities in the last one year alone that could have led to major data breaches if left undetected, according to the company’s security research team.
Beagle Security's AI engine has reduced security testing time by up to 75 percent while increasing detection rates for sophisticated threats by 67 percent compared to traditional methods. This breakthrough addresses the critical shortage of cybersecurity professionals worldwide, estimated at over 3.5 million unfilled positions.
“We started Beagle Security with a mission to make cybersecurity proactive, accessible and continuous. As we celebrate five years of progress, this new office represents not just growth, but our long-term vision for innovation and global impact,” said Rejah Rehim, Co-founder and CEO, Beagle Security.
Beagle Security also provides cybersecurity audit and advisory services to a range of customers including government, public sector and private sector organizations across industry verticals.
