Pearson India to help with skilling and Education Initiatives in Telangana

Hyderabad, May 23 (UNI) Pearson, which is at the forefront of digital learning innovation and pioneering solutions that go beyond static content, on Friday announced that discussions are going on with the Telangana government to help in skilling and reskilling of students.
We are committed to empowering learners and educators with industry-relevant solutions across High education, English Language Learning, Workforce skills and Assessments, said Pearson India Country Head Vinay Swamy in a press conference here.
Pearson is actively expanding its footprint in Telangana through strategic collaborations with academic institutions, skill development missions, and corporate stakeholders, he said with a focus on introducing Pearson BTEC qualifications, enhancing English language readiness, and exploring synergies with the state government, Pearson is positioning itself as a long-term partner for the region’s skilling and education priorities.
We are providing digital content with AI enabled in 14 different languages in the county, he said, adding, we have partnered with over 5,000 higher education Institutions (HEIs) including IITs and IIMs to support fortune 500 companies and in which 100 HEIs or universities from Telangana.
Pearson India is a trusted partner in bridging the gap between education and employability, he said, adding that we are offering in four verticals in India—Higher education’ English Language Learning (ELL); Enterprise Learning & Skills and Assessment & Qualification.
Our Pearson Test of English (PTE) to help students to travel abroad was allowed by US, UK, Canada and Germany, he claimed and said that around 80,000 students are attending this Test every year against 12-15 lakh students attending English Language Learning across India.
With Tech development centres in Bangalore (Karnataka) and Chennai (Tamil Nadu), Person is driving AI innovation in study tools and currently, we have 1,300 employees among 18,000 employees globally with a presence in 200 countries.
Our AI –powered assessments –PTE and Versant – are transforming language proficiency testing. We deliver over two million English assessments with Versant by Pearson annually in India, he informed.
Under corporate English training, we are offering customised programmes designed to enhance workplace communication skills, he added.
