Left parties organise ‘Walk for Democracy’ rally in Kakinada

Kakinada, Oct 11 (UNI) Left parties and various people’s organisations organised a ‘Walk for Democracy’ rally from the historic Gandhi Park to the Ambedkar statue here on Sunday, demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
The protesters raised slogans alleging that an undeclared Emergency was prevailing in the country and that the Election Commission’s unilateral decisions were undermining citizens’ constitutional rights.
The rally culminated in a public meeting at the Ambedkar statue, presided over by Pensioners Association state general secretary K. Sathiraju.
CITU All India vice-president G. Babyrani, district CITU president Duvva Seshu Babji, UTF former state secretary G.
