Maha: Congress takes out 'Tiranga Yatra' in Kolhapur

Kolhapur, May 24 (UNI) The district unit of the Congress party on Saturday took out a huge 'Tiranga Yatra' to salute the Indian armed forces for giving a befitting reply to the cowardly attack on tourists by Pakistan-sponsored terrorists in Pahalgam of Jammu and Kashmir.
Hundreds of Congress party workers, freedom fighters, retired army servicemen, led by district party president and MLC Satej Patil and MP Shrimant Shahu Maharaj, gathered near 'Samadhi' (memorial) of Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj in Town Hall area here this evening and began their march with tricolour in hand amidst chanting of slogans in honour of Indian Army. After passing through the main streets, the 'Tiranga Yatra' concluded.
Talking to reporters after the 'Yatra', Patil said that since Indian Army gave a befitting reply to Pakistan-sponsored terrorists and to Pakistan, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis should talk on main subjects instead of criticising the Gandhi family members and the Congress party.
He targeted Fadnavis for criticising Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, but not commenting on his (Rahul Gandhi's) demand for a special session of parliament to discuss the Pahalgam incident.

MP Shahu Maharaj said that it was wrong to give political colour to 'Operation Sindoor' and alleged that the ruling Bhartiya Janata Party was trying to take political advantage from this operation.
