Maha: DyCM Pawar calls Vaishnavi's father

Pune, May 22 (UNI) After Vaishnavi Hagavane's death over dowry caused a stir across Maharashtra, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar are personally looking into the matter.
Vaishnavi's father-in-law Rajendra Hagavane was accused of being associated with the NCP (Ajit Pawar).
On Thursday, Ajit Pawar reacted aggressively to this for the first time. He also spoke to Vaishnavi's father Anil Kaspate over phone and reassured him.
"I was saddened after getting the news of Vaishnavi's death. I have instructed police to take strict action in this matter," said Pawar to her father on phone.
Pawar has also instructed to give Vaishnavi's baby to the Kaspate family. Some members of the Hagavane family have also been arrested. The father-in-law is absconding and a search is underway for him, said Deputy CM.
"Three police teams are searching for him. I have instructed police to send more teams to track him down. We will not spare him," Pawar told Vaishnavi's father over phone.
Deputy CM Eknath Shinde also spoke to Vaishnavi's father and called the incident as bad and unfortunate.
He also said he would have helped him if he had informed him earlier and he would have looked into the matter in time, Shinde told her father.
